Garry Station Neighbourhood Association (GSNA)
The Garry Station Neighbourhood Association, incorporated as a society in 2015, represents the community and is governed by a set of by-laws. We also observe YQL Neighbourhoods as our parent organization
Our neighbourhood association:
- Plans and facilitates opportunities to socialize and create emotional bonds between people and their community.
- Builds strong support networks to promote relationships that have a positive impact on our health and wellness.
- Connects neighbours that lead to individual and community well-being.
- Promotes safety so that people feel safe, engaged, and have an overall sense of belonging.
- Believes that connected neighbourhoods are the vehicle for social change and that community is the core to happiness
The Association is run on a volunteer basis, with membership cycles that runs from January - December. The GSNA also manages active social media pages with nearly 2,000 followers.

July 11: Community Breakfast followed by Kids Fest
Kids Fest is Garry Station’s signature community event — a joyful day that brings together more than 600 families from across Lethbridge and area! The festival features live music, bouncy castles, face painting, games, and more, along with opportunities for families to connect with local resources and organizations that support youth and community well-being. A highlight of the day is the U18 Kids Market, where young entrepreneurs showcase and sell their own creations — inspiring the next generation of local business leaders.
Sept 18: Movie in the Park
Get ready to roll out your picnic blanket, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a magical evening under the stars! Movie in the Park is one of the most anticipated community events of the season - a chance for families, friends, and neighbours to come together for a fun-filled outdoor movie night in one of Garry Station’s beautiful green spaces
Nov 12 - Dec 18: Operation: Christmas Stocking & Letters of Hope
The Garry Station community is proud to support Buffalo Grace Manor, an assisted living facility and home to over 100 seniors, many of whom face physical or cognitive challenges. Â Many of the residents in Buffalo Grace Manor experience isolation and loneliness during the holidays. Â Each year, neighbours come together for Operation: Christmas Stocking - a heartfelt project where volunteers sew handmade stockings, fill them with thoughtful items so residents have something to open on Christmas morning and know someone is thinking of them.
About the Garry Station Community
The community of Garry Station is located in northwest Lethbridge, and is home to over 1500 people, boasting some of the highest growth rates in the City (ref: 2023 Census). Our beautiful community boasts many amenities like a seniors assisted living facility, an elementary school that was opened in September 2025, vast parks and greenspaces, along with families who are committed to creating a vibrant, family-centered place to live.
Community Vision: Honouring Our History
The vision for Garry Station is based on a blend of two concepts, a nostalgic perspective based on a theme of Lethbridge’s historic relationship with railways and rail travel, and a contemporary view, reflecting today’s values and sustainability, creative opportunities for changing lifestyles, and design principles that promote well-being.
Â
Garry Station is a vision of old and new. Lethbridge’s famous and iconic High Level Bridge connects with the spirit of pioneer railway builders and passengers of yesteryear, a time when rail travel could be both pleasant and challenging, and when arrival at a railway station was a welcome relief. Garry Station represents the final destination of the rail adventure, a journey linked with Lethbridge’s historical past.
Â
Our vision also recognizes the value of that era; quiet residential streets suitable for walking and playing, and a family-oriented culture with opportunities for socializing. Garry Station incorporates the values of a contemporary society; a society which increasingly values healthy lifestyles and environmental stewardship.
Â
The location of railway stations during the construction of Canadian Pacific Railway, determined where communities and cities were born, and is one of the most influential factors which shaped the growth of western Canada. The name “Garry Station" was derived from the importance of the railway station to the community. The images of the rail station era and its related values matched with the needs and trends of today’s society and is the foundation for the vision, theme, amenities and land use concepts which are being developed in Garry Station.
